A few months ago, I came across Gown and Glory while searching Google for one very specific dress. Quickly realizing my dress was out of my budget, I was INCREDIBLY lucky and blessed to find my dress in my size at Gown and Glory. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. Even though I knew this was my dress, Angela even allowed to me to try other dresses for the fun of it! From making inquiries, to booking my appointment, and finally to saying yes to the dress, Angela was a pleasure to deal with. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely go back to Gown and Glory, and I would definitely recommend!
Gown and Glory was the first place I went to look for my wedding dress. I knew I wanted to purchase a used dress, but I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality of the dresses. I was beyond impressed by Angela's boutique; her selection was so much bigger than I thought it would be. Not only was their a wide selection, but the gowns were beautiful and it was hard to believe they were used based on the amazing condition they were all in, they looked brand new. I tried on about 10 before deciding on my favourite (the gown was regularly priced $1300 and I bought it for $700) On top of that, the actual boutique is beautiful and Angela's service was 10/10. She was not pushy at all, and I felt no pressure to purchase my dress right away. Instead, she advised me to take my time deciding and not to rush. She was very personable and had excellent customer service. It is because of her that I had such a wonderful experience dress shopping. I didn't even go to another dress store, I was so satisfied with my experience at her boutque and I would highly recommend new brides to take a visit.
I was looking for short or other unique dresses for a reasonable price, plus a comfortable and calm atmosphere to try on all kinds of designs and shapes- and Gown and Glory had it all! The selection was fantastic, and I tried on more dresses (10-12) here than I did at any of the large bridals stores. And I actually loved all of them! The selection at Gown and Glory seemed more unique than those I saw at other stores - especially for shorter gowns. Angela also advised on how some of the longer dresses could be altered to be a short dress. The dresses are consignment - so in theory, they are "used", but I learned that not all the dresses had actually been worn (some girls bought 2 dresses or some were from sample sales). The dresses I looked at ranged in price from $450 to $1000, most of them in the middle of that range. Angela was great at fitting the gowns to my body and allowing me to experiment with different accessories to find the "look" I wanted. I highly recommend Gown and Glory to future brides.
Yesterday my mom and I found a dress that we both loved and I bought it. I was a little torn between this one and the lovely one you have. Part of this torn feeling was how wonderful you and you shop are. I absolutely love what you're doing and will always recommend you to every bride I come across. Thanks for such a positive, intimate, and wonderful experience.
My Mom loves the dress and so does my sister and most importantly me too! We are thrilled to have supported your consignment boutique. My sister also loved the other things you have on consignment so I will definitely be coming in person to see the veils and boleros. I will call to make an appointment when I am in town next. Thank you for all your help with this! I would be happy to tell other long distance brides about my experience if anyone ever asks.
