Malaparte is a spectacular event space on the 6th floor at TIFF Bell Lightbox, in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District. With floor to ceiling windows, it features a breathtaking cityscape view. The rooftop terrace and outdoor amphitheatre is reminiscent of the roof of Villa Malaparte in Capri where Jean-Luc Godard shot Le Mépris.
I got married here last summer and Malaparte is phenomenal. It has beautiful floor to ceiling windows and awesome views of the CN Tower on the outdoor terrace. I like that the tent is a soft fabric material on the inside giving it that romantic, soft vibes. Our photos turned out so nice because there is perfect natural lighting where ever you go. The food is super delicious, its elevated and felt super expensive despite us getting the $275 all-inclusive package. Read more

I am an event planner, and my client's just had their wedding at Malaparte last weekend. I would HIGHLY recommend Malaparte for any wedding or event. It is a gorgeous venue in the heart of downtown, the floor to ceiling windows give quite the view, and even though we didn't use the tent or patio since it was March, that is also a very unique aspect to this venue.
The food and service were outstanding. The clients and their families were absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. I can honestly say it was some of the best wedding food I've ever eaten, and was just as good as the tasting! Thank you to Betty for making the months and months of planning so smooth. And thank you to Jenn and Nelson for working so easily with me and making the day of the wedding so smooth. I hope to work there again very soon!Read more

My husband and I selected Malaparte as our wedding venue due to it's location in the heart of downtown Toronto, the outdoor portion of the venue, and the price in relation to those two things. What I couldn't have known I was signing up for was the absolutely amazing service they provided. Leading up to the event and day of I could not have asked for better customer care. We live outside of Toronto and they accommodated our schedule (setting up calls that were PST friendly and scheduling tastings/walkthroughs during the tiny windows we were in Toronto). I would like to especially thank Jason (the GM?) and Rob (head chef). Chef asked for our feedback at the tastings and truly took it to heart, the food was spectacular. Every single vendor that we worked with spoke of Jason's competence and his personality the day of. Jason was an absolute delight to work with. In the days and weeks after the reception we heard from a number of guests about the stellar service. From the bartenders who made custom cocktails based on a guests preference, to the servers who pulled out a tide to go when my cousin accidentally spilled some of her dinner on herself. As the bride and groom we were assigned a specific server (I can't remember her name but she was spectacular) who made sure to bring us a plate of our hor d'oeuvres so we could try them all, brought us a glass of bubbly as we walked out of our ceremony, and kept us well hydrated all night long. Overall I would recommend Malaparte for any event. Keep up the great work, it's a great venue but it's the fantastic service that really takes it over the top.Read more
Wow, wow WOW!!! As a wedding Officiant, I've seen many venues and worked with many event professionals but this was my first time at Malaparte (inside TIFF Lightbox) and I'm stunned at how beautifully they have made use of the space (both indoor & outdoor). With spectacular views of the city, under an elegant, draped and chandeliered tent (you'd never guess it's weatherproof from the inside), the ceremony was ideal... the feeling of the urban outdoors with equal views of the surrounding architecture and open skies. Even though it was a hot, sunny day we were all completely shaded and there was a refreshing cool breeze to keep everyone comfortable. As for the food and wine, I was lucky enough to sample some during cocktail hour and Oliver & Bonacini outdoes themselves, as usual... the lobster & avocado toasts are addictive and the O&B signature wines are VQA and excellent. Kudos to management, Jason and Nelson and service staff Tyler, Johnny, Ryan & Sandor for making me feel so welcome and for such a stellar experience. The Bride & Groom seem thrilled and I look forward to working with this team again!Read more
