We had the pleasure of hosting our organization’s All-Staff Town Hall & Summer Social (150+ attendees) at The Symes, and the experience exceeded expectations across every dimension.

From the moment we arrived, the venue impressed - a beautifully restored Art Deco space that feels both grand and welcoming. We hosted our main program in the Scarlet Room, which provided the perfect balance of intimacy and elegance, featuring the building’s signature round windows and exposed brick.

Our event included a full morning Town Hall program - complete with executive presentations, interactive team activities, and engagement moments like recognition walls and group discussions - followed by a social component in the afternoon. The space supported every transition seamlessly, from structured presentations to informal networking.

The rooftop patio was a standout feature. Despite rainy weather, the tented setup ensured our social activities continued without disruption, which made a significant difference in maintaining the energy and experience of the day.

Catering was exceptional. The food was consistently described by attendees as “5-star” -flavourful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully executed. Highlights included fresh Belgian waffles, barista station serving espresso and specialty coffees, and a well-curated lunch with excellent presentation and variety.

The service and coordination team were truly best-in-class. Every detail was handled with professionalism, warmth, and precision. The team was highly organized and responsive, making the entire experience feel effortless on our end.

Special recognition to Rachel and Nathalie, who ensured everything ran smoothly from planning through execution.

Additionally, the in-house AV partner, Sole Power, delivered excellent support - strong acoustics, high-quality visuals, and a seamless technical experience throughout a program that included presentations, video, and interactive elements.

We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our staff. The Symes is truly a top-tier venue for corporate events, and we would absolutely host here again!

Last night I performed with my six piece band at The Symes. The event was corporate in nature and organized by Bonafide. Our band was one of many elements all woven into a integrated theme of music and astonishing visual entertainment including and not limited to acrobatics. This was anything but a simple function, which required multiple skill sets, expertise and coordination. From the onset, the staff at The Symes communicated effectively with me and once underway, continued to focus its team on optimizing our sound and presence. The level of professionalism and courtesy of The Symes staff was exceptional adding further to the success of this party. Well done !!!

This venue is absolutely breathtaking! It's the perfect blank canvas for whatever event you want and you're able to really create the wedding for YOU. While all the events use the same space, it's incredible how different the space looks depending on what you want to do with it. Viviana was our venue manager and she was incredible! She asked all the right questions to get an idea of the event we wanted and was able to provide us with inspiration from past events to give us a better idea of the possibilities in the space we rented. She is also not your typical venue manager that disappears after you book the space, she is diligent, responsive and helpful in her suggestions. Her organization is impeccable as she never forgot any of our own event details despite having so many events occur in the space. As our wedding was during the COVID-19 period, she was extremely understanding in the frequently changing landscape.

Perhaps one of the hardest working event teams in the industry. The facility is gorgeous, the kitchen is a dream to work in, there are private rooms for bridal parties and it is always a blessing to experience anything this team is doing. We cannot wait to Officiate weddings at The Symes.
