It's a good place for some weekend activity, especially in summers, if you are in Toronto - be it for kids, be it for foodies, be it for health freaks, cyclists or just nature lovers. It is an old quarry converted into an activity site with many things to do. They have a children's play area. There is a lake around which there is a trail for hiking and cycling. Some lazy chairs to just relax and enjoy the weather (if it is good) in open. We went there on a Sunday when there was a food festival as well. Being vegans, we wondered if there would be anything for us but surprisingly there were plenty of booths that were pure vegan or vegan-friendly and we had a great time. The trail is good and when you hike all the way to top, not just you get to see the beautiful green cover (if it is summers) of Don Valley but also the Toronto skyline - which is bloody amazing. But do cover yourself properly as well since there can be many mosquitos as well - especially if it is evening time. There is a cafe as well, inside the premises that serve good coffee. In addition, we also saw a bike sale and bike repair shop there. The parking is available but, on a busy day, can be hard to find.

This is a good use of space and a good way to take advantage of our city's natural valley. I enjoy the trails created, though the winding maze is a little monotonous. It's great to have so many people enjoying the area with their pooches. The eats in the area are a treat to have.

This is a fantastic learning space for families and couples, but solo hikes and exploration are also enjoyable. Brickworks always has a lot of activities going on that are in line with the changing seasons. The on-site restaurant, Cafe Belong, has a delicious lineup of treats in their front-end cafe, and even better dishes for brunch and dinner in their dining area. They focus on local, sustainable foods in their dishes, year-round. I particularly love all the markets that pop up in the event spaces because the artists are often local and have beautiful handmade gifts and foods.

I came here for the Farmers Market on the weekend and there was a variety of different sellers so it is advised to come here or when it is early in the morning to be able to find your produce otherwise by midday or so most people have started serving lunch and what you would like to purchase has probably been bought up already or is being packed away. This place is very beautiful for photography and that there are many fishes it is also very well maintained and quite the good walk around with family
