Evergreen Brick Works is one of Toronto’s most sought-after event facilities. Nestled in Toronto’s lush ravines in a setting of awe-inspiring heritage buildings, Evergreen Brick Works offers a truly unique setting for private events.

Our event managers will guide you through every step of the planning process. While working with our partners and preferred suppliers, our team will fully execute your event seamlessly from beginning to end.

Our spaces offer various capacities, from an intimate gathering in the BMO Atrium to a 2,500-person standing reception in the Pavilions or CRH Gallery. We also have indoor and outdoor seasonal activities such as planting, skating and team building available to third party rentals.

My husband and I got married at Evergreen Brickworks on August 27th, 2023 and our special day was a dream come true. Back when we had started looking at venues, we had booked to see a number of various spots as we tend to be drawn to different aesthetics (my husband was drawn more to green, nature where I was more drawn to urban). The space combines the two aesthetics so perfectly that as soon as we started our tour at Evergreen Brickworks, we looked at each other and said "this is it!". Shortly after we signed our agreement, we were connected with Julia, our PHENOMENAL (can't stress that enough) event manager, who guided us from the beginning to the day of. From the very first communication, she was responsive within the day (often within the hour) even on days that she was out of office! She was detail oriented, proactive, always happy to answer any question and alleviated so much of the stress. Honestly, she was critical to the event's success. Among other things, she handled all the coordination with the main vendors for us, from the rentals to the caterer quotes to the AV to the timeline of the day. On the day of, everything looked perfect. The pond ceremony was truly special, the Kroener Gardens were the most beautiful space for our cocktail hour and the CRH Gallery hosting our reception looked absolutely stunning, like an enchanted garden. We couldn't have made a better choice for our wedding and our guests agreed: many came up to us and described it as the best wedding they had ever attended, especially due to the venue being so unique! Big thank you to Evergreen Brickworks and Julia for everything!

To the readers of this lengthy review, I apologize in advance, but I truly feel that without the detail, you would not fully appreciate how special Evergreen Brickworks, and the folks that work with them, truly truly are...so here is my story...
April 9th 2023 started our journey with Evergreen Brickworks. Darryl surprisingly proposed on his birthday which started a magical chain of events that we have said were "simply meant to be". On May 9th, Evergreen Brickworks Events announced an Instagram contest, together with Pop-Up Chapel (and many other sponsors) for a wedding giveaway to be held at the CRH Gallery between the kilns, at Evergreen Brickworks!! We had already been looking at Pop-Up Chapel as a wedding option for us, so naturally both Darryl and I entered the giveaway, and crossed our fingers.
On an unexpected Friday afternoon, after I'd had an expectionally rough day at work, I received an Instagram message from Dominic at Evergreen stating that we were THE LUCKY WINNERS OF THE GIVEAWAY!!! Darryl and I both lost our minds in excitement thinking it was too good to be true. But it wasn't!! WE WON!!!
Shortly after we confirmed we could make the date, we had our first meeting with Alison and Dominic from Evergreen, and Alicia from Pop-Up Chapel. From that first meeting, everyone was absolutely amazing!! They were so incredibly happy for us as the lucky winners, and they were very eager to make everything perfect for our special day.
Darryl and I initially thought that we would be presented with a "you get what you get" kind of wedding package...boy were we wrong!!!
Yes, they wanted to keep some things a secret surprise, but right away we had input into some of the colour schemes we would like, and we were connected with Camilla at Food Dudes to set up our menu tasting (and that food tasting was an AMAZING experience). We met virtually with our officiant Kevin Leung to go over the ceremony details. And we were in regular contact with Alison to make music decisions, seating arrangements, guest entrance details, and ceremony timing before the wedding day.
We also were given the opportunity to have a site visit at Evergreen to tour the grounds and the ceremony area.
When we arrived at Brickworks, we were a little early, so decided to take a short walk around the Evergreen Brickworks and take in some of the sights.
What a beautiful space!! Inside and outside. This historical setting has ponds and trails for outdoor beauty, and the inside building dates as far back as the late 1800s and has transitoned from industry, to party, to event and environmental purposes, and has maintained the rustic feel while developing a modern and relevant space. Alison and Dominic (we also met Meghan) gave us a tour of the inner building, and finally showed us where our ceremony and reception would take place. We were blown away at the CRH Gallery and the intimate space that would be our special place between the kilns. The "modern art" on the walls made it fell like it was made specially for us, and in some way gave it kind of a grand and modern ballroom type feel to it.
Our wedding day arrived, and although already we felt SO involved, we had no idea what to expect when we finally made to the the kilns. We were set up in our dressing rooms, given our timelines and provided exceptional support from Alison and Rasmus. When it was finally go time, we were guided separately to the space, bouquets and boutonnieres were in place, guests were seated, music was ready and perfect, and wow, just wow! When we finally walked down the aisle we could not believe how beautiful the space had been made for us. The chairs with bouquets on the seat backs, the lighting, the carpet, again the amazing modern artwork, and the incredible archway that we were married under, all were absolutely perfect!!
After the ceremony, Alicia from Pop-Up Chapel and Alicia Thurston Photography took us around the grounds to some of her favourite spots for our wedding photo shoot with us and our kids. Alicia's artistic vision was amazing and the kids just loved her as well.
Our photo shoot ended and we met up with our guests in the reception area, which yet again, was so amazingly decorated with fresh flowers, small vases, place settings and table and chair coverings. The space was small, intimate and the perfect size for the 20 guests we had around our recatgular table...which was PERFECT for conversation with such a small group of people.
We've since had SO many compliments on the space, the ceremony, the flowers, the reception and table set up, from both guests that were there, and people that have seen photos whothat have expressed how unbelievable the venue is. Everyone that seen our photos and heard our story, has said they are going to visit Evergreen in the near future.
From start to finish, Evergreen (specifically Alison and Dominic) and Alicia at Pop-Up Chapel were incredible! They were so excited and invested in the process, and kept us engaged and involved in every step of the way that, although this was a giveaway, it made us feel like it was ours, which in the end it most definitely was, it was OUR wedding, and it was "simply meant to be".
Do you want to book Evergreen Brickworks for your next big event? ABSOLUTELY YES!!. Whatever the purpose of your visit, you will not be disappointed. The space is beautiful, the people that work there are beautiful and absolutely and genuinely LOVE where they work and belive in the values and commitent of Evergreen. They are professional and genuinely love what they do. And you can just feel that the visitors that frequent the area love having such a beautiful space to explore and enjoy. It truly is an amazing space nestled nicely within the busy city of Toronto.
We are an avid outdoors family, and appreciate art in some of it's most obscure forms. The beauty of nature outside, and the beauty of the historical/rustic/modern/urban feel that Evergreen offers inside - which clearly can be enhanced into something so incredibly beautiful that words almost can't even describe it, has, and always will have, a special place in our hearts. We are forever greatful for everything you have done for us. Thank you Evergreen.

We recently hosted a wedding at EBWs and it was a wonderful experience.
Once we landed on this venue, the staff was accessible and professional, available to answer our questions and suggest solutions. Conducting the wedding beside the pond, in the middle of the Rosedale Valley, was so special. The venue is urban, authentic and ultimately elegant. The service staff were as good as a fine restaurant! Our guests and family enjoyed the whole experience. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Evergreen Brickworks as a special event venue!

As the onsite Audio Visual provider at Evergreen Brickworks, I have had the pleasure of working with this stunning venue for a number of years and hundreds of events, from corporate functions to weddings and galas. And let me say Evergreen Brickworks truly stands out as one of the most amazing event venues in the city.

First of all, the space itself is simply breathtaking. The industrial-chic vibe of the brick building, combined with the natural beauty of the surrounding park, creates a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Whether you're hosting a product launch or a wedding reception, the space is versatile enough to accommodate any type of event.

From a technical perspective, the venue is also top-notch. EPiQVision has had the pleasure of providing audio-visual services at Evergreen Brickworks. Do I need to schedule an appointment to see the property?

All site tours are required to be scheduled in advance as our spaces are generally booked for events. Please contact your representative to schedule a time or contact [email protected]

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

All our venue spaces are fully accessible and meet all provincial guidelines

How many parking spots are on site?

Parking is on a first come basis unless a parking lot has been reserved. Guests can pay for their own or spots can be billed to the account. There are three lots on site totaling 350 parking spots. Full lot buy-outs can be arranged at additional costs

Is smoking allowed at the property?

Smoking and vaping is permitted in designated smoking areas. There is no smoking allowed inside or in Koerner Gardens. A Smoking Area can be set up outside of the venue with cigarette disposal units, please arrange with your Event Manager. If cigarette filters are littered instead of disposed of in extinguishing receptacles, a cleaning fee may incur

Are kids allowed at the venue?

We are a child friendly establishment and children are welcome at the venue. Please note that all children under the age of twelve (12) must be always under the supervision of an adult. Wristband service may be required depending on scope of event and final details

Are pets allowed at the venue?

Service animals are permitted in the venue spaces at any time. Your pet can be present for your wedding ceremony only on either the Frances & Tim Price Terrace or, Koerner Gardens and must be on leash and supervised at all times. Once the ceremony has concluded, your pet must be taken off-site for the remainder of the event due to health and safety regulations

Is there an event planner on-site during my event?

There will be a Venue Supervisor, and Event Porter on-site during your event to assist with venue logistics and to ensure a smooth and successful event. Evergreen staff are not able to assist with moving décor or run of show planning but they would be more than happy to assist with your venue needs and questions

When can we set up or drop off items for our event?

Client shall have access to the venue as arranged with your Event Manager. Event set up the day prior would incur additional rental & staffing charges, pending availability

The "end time" on the contract says 1:00 AM does that mean we have to leave by that time?

The bar close time is 1:00AM unless a 2:00AM extension has been purchased at additional costs. At closing, all music is turned off and house lights will be illuminated, allowing guests to leave the space safely

What is the clean-up/garbage fee? Does the venue take care of garbage?

Evergreen will take care of general waste. However, we are not responsible for removing items brought in by the client and/or vendors. This includes rentals, décor, florals, gifts, signs, etc. Clients/vendors are responsible for removing everything they bring in the night of the event. Items that are left behind will be subject to an additional disposal fee. Event manager can provide more info

Do we need insurance?

Clients hosting events at Evergreen are required to obtain their own insurance. We require the insurance 30 days prior to the event. Details of Commercial, General and Liquor Liability Insurance can be found on your agreement or you may ask your Event Manager for more details and assistance

Do you offer Kosher catering?

We work with Ace Kosher Catering who can accommodate a full Kosher event or individual meals for guests with Kosher dietary requirements

Do you work with preferred vendors?

Yes, our preferred partners and exclusive suppliers are as follows: Rentals: Chairman Mills, Divine Furniture Rental, Contemporary Furniture Rentals and Detailz Catering: The Food Dudes, Ace Kosher & Pantry, Edible Stories, Toben Food By Design, McEwan, Elle Cuisine, Eatertainment and Daniel et Daniel. Audio Visual: EPIQ Vision AV Event Staffing: DGS Staffing Security: Sentinel Security

Can we bring in our vendors?

You may work with your preferred vendors for florist, DJ, band, entertainment and photographer. These will be arranged and billed directly with you. Please note, you must secure EPiQ Vision regarding a patch in fee for DJ, band, entertainment, power, rigging and any other lighting or sound requirements

Can we bring in our own catering?

You are welcome to bring in your own licensed and insured Caterer. Our exclusive caterers are The Food Dudes, Ace Kosher & Picnic. A 20% landmark fee plus HST will apply to the caterer's invoice

Do you provide staffing?

Staff and security are scheduled by Evergreen with our exclusive suppliers DGS and Sentinel Security. A Venue Supervisor will be assigned for the day of your event as your point of contact. All our servers, bar staff, management are Smart Serve certified. We will work with you to recommend the appropriate number of staff you'll need to successfully execute your event

Are there any restrictions on decor?

Decor is permitted to be hung from the ceiling. EpiQ Vision is exclusive for rigging. In order to protect the heritage of Evergreen Brick Works' buildings, the following is prohibited: Posting, nailing, taping or tacking anything to walls. The use of linens and fabric that are not flame-retardant. The use of confetti, flower petals, glitter, balloons, fireworks, sparklers and similar materials

How much does it cost to get married at Evergreen Brick Works?

Weddings at Evergreen Brick Works start at $3,000 and can go up to $10,000. The venue can seat up to 700 guests. Pricing typically depends on food and beverage selections.
