Not overly busy on a Monday. The front desk staff was SO kind and friendly. Beautiful display. Very clean, great exhibit and overall a great time. Would recommend to anyone with children for a little interactive fun. The playground is great outside when the weather permits!
This place always has activities and events going on and acts as a great place to get the kids out of the house for us. In winter it can be a breath of fresh air and plants/flowers we all miss, in spring and summer it is awash in beauty and the Christmas lights are fantastic for young and old alike.Best membership our family has had and we never regret going.
It was a special event of Christmas lights. The area was not big and took us about 40 minutes to walk through. The most interesting thing was a little city with working railway and realistic lights with night mode. Some family donated this thing to the park, they assembled it and now we enjoyed watching it. This is amazing. So many tiny details, every little man are masterpieces. It is like you get into childhood and this is your dream gift. Legoland has some installation but it seems like shrimp with a whale compare to this city. If you still have internal boy go and enjoy of this unique city with railway.
Been a member for over 10years now. Great many areas to discover and venture whatever the season. Spring time is one place to go for beautiful tulips, lilacs. The newly renovated Rock Garden is one place to go to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A wedding photo destination. Many summer camp activities for young ones, various planned events, exhibitions and information sessions throughout the year. Winter time you have to visit the annual train village in the main building or if you prefer exotic tropical and Mediterranean plants go no further. Many locations for outdoor trail walks, bird watching and the list goes on.Well worth getting a membership.
It is December so I understand the outside is nothing special. I'm a bit surprised though with some of the hazards that are out there. Cords all over the grass where people walk. Some of the string lights are dangerously close to pathways where kids can stomp on them. Walking around inside was a bit disappointing for me. I understand that there are a lot of volunteers but with the name Royal, and the $$$ the government provides +++, I expected a cleaner, tidier, and more alive greenhouse. Plants are dead (many of them), the "garden" parts are messy and just dead..... I rather see empty spaces between plants than dead ones. Just disappointing for $18.00 a person..... It was my first time and will give it a try one more time in the summer but I hope it will be cleaner and look like a ROYAL Botanical Garden.
