We had our wedding at the Grand Victorian in August 2016. Dewinder and Seema were amazing, hardworking, and went to great lengths to accommodate our every need. They facilitated our hotel room block, my husband's bharaat and sera bundi, our rehearsal happy hour on the garden rooftop, and our wedding cocktail hour and reception. During a 2 hour down time between the end of our photoshoot and start of our reception, Dewinder provided our bridal party with snacks and refreshments in the bridal suite while my husband and I took pictures in the hall. Our guests loved the dinner with particular likings for the pasta appetizer, the paneer and chicken tikka masala dishes, and the tender salmon in a light white wine sauce. The late night seafood and desert station was also a big hit. I wanted to give a 4.5 star but Google would not allow me to so the only reason we did not give five stars is because: First, at times it was difficult to get a hold of staff which made it challenging to collaborate with other vendors. Second, we got feedback from some guests stating that their meal was not served in its entirety (i.e. some people didn't get their side dishes, some didn't get their entre - although there was so much food that no one was bothered or hungry by this). Lastly, we got numerous complaints of servers in the hall and the hotel restaurant being impolite and unprofessional to our guests. Despite these incidents, we received stellar treatment by the upper management at Grand Victorian. At the time of our initial booking in Dec 2015 the hall was undergoing new management which I believed caused most of our hiccups. Dewinder and Seema are amazing and will continue to turn Grand Victorian around very quickly. It is a beautiful venue with the added convenience of the attached hotel, and we would highly, highly, recommend this venue for your next event.
