Over the course of our planning, Suzanne and Rod were both great and sent lots of gentle reminders to keep us on track. The planning software was really easy to use and made me feel even more confident in my choice of Maximum Music because I felt like I could see exactly what types of things were in the database and I saw all our bases and the genres we like would be covered. On the actual wedding day, we had a wonderful reception, in no small part thanks to Riley's great job DJing.
Riley made sure to introduce himself to me and my husband before dinner and went over our requested song list with us. He commented on some of the technological limitations he had in the venue, for example the speakers in the dancing area vs. the dinner area weren't connected so he was sure to let us know it was something he was aware of and was happy to change the volume and the music he was playing if we had any concerns. He also liaised with our MC to make sure the evening ran smoothly, which was a great help.
I was the most impressed with how our DJ, Riley, read the room and was able to react to how our guests were dancing and what they wanted to hear. My favourite memory is, at the end of the night, he found me to ask what final song we wanted to play and I picked "Don't Stop Believing". We managed to get absolutely everyone on the dance floor, but after the song was done, some of our guests from Newfoundland decided they didn't want it to end there. They started loudly singing an old east coast drinking song, "Barrett's Privateers", and Riley found it in his database immediately (in less than a minute) and started playing it while they were still singing! Jason and I were both so pleased that he was able to pick up on what the crowd wanted and it made us wish we had given him even more east coast and Newfoundland songs to play, since they really were the crowd pleasers.
Thank you very much for making our reception so wonderful, we would definitely recommend Maximum Music for our friends and think of you in the future!
