Artscape Sandbox is Toronto's newest venue in the heart of the Entertainment District! A 6000 sq. ft. adaptable and flexible event space, Artscape Sandbox is ideal for professional and community performances, exhibitions, classes, retreats, meetings and conferences, professional development, vendor events, social gatherings and celebrations.

With a lighting grid spanning the event space and feature lighting in the bar area, a lobby area with adjustable welcome desk to accommodate registration, box office or coat check, acoustic treatment and a uniform surface along the back wall, as well as a Greenroom/VIP area, this customizable space offers a blank canvas and the freedom to realize your creative vision.

Artscape Sandbox also offers a curated roster of professional artists with a slate of superb workshops, classes and performances available to animate your event or provide team-building experiences for your company or organization.

Artscape Sandbox operates as a social enterprise. Revenues from venue rentals support Artscape's cultural programming and services.

From the moment I picked up the phone and Darcey Maher answered, I knew I was in good hands. I was trying to decide between a few venues to host our event, but Darcey was so encouraging and accomodating to our needs that I decided immediately we were going to go with the Artscape Sandbox. We were under the gun, trying to pull the event together in 7 days, and Meagan Barnes our event coordinator patiently and expertly guided us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you to everyone at the Artscape for helping us to put this together, I can't wait to work with you again!

The Artscape Sandbox was a superb location for our Dolphin Disabilities Mentoring Day Meet & Greet event. Our events team was fully supported by Erica, Felix and their staff. The location is vibrant & open, yet comfortable and intimate at the same time. Our accessibility needs were met in this fully accessible venue. I highly recommend this space to anyone and will look forward to the next opportunity to book it again. Grateful to have a community venue focused on community engagement and promoting the arts. I was thrilled when I found the Artscape Sandbox online during my search for a unique venue. Its diverse accommodating space was quite spacious, accessible, and I found it to be the perfect area to customize exactly what I wanted done. The Sandbox team was also fantastic to work along side with. Leading up to our event, Erica, the performance venue assistant, did an excellent job making sure all details were accounted for and everything was in order for the day of. When our event date finally came, I felt at ease and comfortable knowing I was being well taken care of with some great help. The staff had great suggestions and they were prompt to assist my team while setting up for our event. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the entire experience at the Artscape Sandbox and would absolutely recommend this space to anyone looking for something uniquely wonderful.

Working with Artscape Sandbox was a very pleasing experience. They made everything they needed in terms of specifications about my event and how I wanted the room extremely clear which allowed me to have the exact room that I needed to the colour of the lights. I just wanted to say that your staff did a fantastic job at our reception. I was truly blown away by the job everyone did making sure everything went perfectly. The space was amazing and the techs did a great job lighting everything. And the security did a fantastic job making sure everyone was in good hands. I know that a few guests maybe had a bit too much fun and I'm sorry if any caused any problems, but overall everyone had a great time and loved the space. I attended an event here last evening for Australia and Air Canada. It is a lovely space and the food served was simply wonderful. We had a lamb mac and cheese, a rabbit rillette, smoky mussels, fabulous shrimp, a veggie slider, and more. Some nice Aussie wine to compliment. This is a terrific event space with great service.
