Nestled in the scenic Kawartha Lakes region, Thunderbird Farm is a rustic-chic wedding venue that combines natural beauty, charming barns, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Couples can celebrate surrounded by lush greenery, friendly farm animals, and thoughtfully restored heritage buildings.

Venue Spaces

We offer two beautifully renovated barns and expansive outdoor areas perfect for ceremonies, receptions, and celebrations of all sizes. Our main event barn features high ceilings, sparkling lighting, and flexible layouts, ideal for both intimate gatherings and larger weddings up to 130 guests. The second barn (carriage house) provides versatile space for getting ready, cocktail hours, lounges, or smaller weddings. Outdoor ceremony areas are surrounded by scenic farm views, creating stunning backdrops for photos and meaningful moments.

Wedding Packages & Services

We offer a range of wedding packages to suit different sizes and styles:

• Elopements & Sweet Ceremonies: Intimate gatherings for up to 30 guests, perfect for couples seeking a simple, stress-free celebration. Luxury accommodations are available as an add-on.
• Micro-Weddings: Celebrations for 30–50 guests with 6–8 hours of event time, access to indoor and outdoor spaces, and interactions with our friendly farm animals. Luxury accommodations are available as an add-on.
• Standard Weddings: Full-day celebrations for up to 130 guests, with the same features as our Micro-Weddings. Luxury accommodations are available as an add-on.

All packages include access to one or both barns, outdoor ceremony areas, cocktail spaces, lawn games, farm animals, and curated décor elements like linen runners, vintage vases, mason jars, fairy lights, and battery-operated candles. Couples can bring their own vendors or request recommendations from our trusted list of photographers, planners (including in-house coordination), and caterers. Weddings with 50+ guests also have access to the first floor of the farmhouse for getting ready. Overnight packages have access to the full farmhouse.
